I am a meeting planner in Washington D.C. My job keeps me pretty freaking busy, but in any of the free time I can grab (or in the stress-jammed in between times) I love to bake. I’ve loved it ever since I can remember, going all the way back to my Easy Bake Oven. My tastes have evolved since then and I now favor a healthy, wholesome diet. Though as much as I am a fan of good-for-you-foods–that is fresh produce, unprocessed snacks, low-fat dairy, moderate calories and the like–I definitely feel “diet” rules do not apply to baked goods. Real butter, half a dozen eggs if that’s what’s called for, heavy cream and glorious chocolate are the ingredients that belong in my homemade confections. So don’t fret, real baking is what you will find here. After all what’s more wholesome than something baked from scratch?
